Why did veteran actor Ananth Nag back out of ‘KGF 2’?

One of the highlights of ‘KGF 1’ was veteran actor Ananth Nag. However, Ananth Nag chose to be not a part of the sequel due to various reasons. He would be definitely missed by the audience in ‘KGF 2’.

Ananth Nag played the role of Anand Ingalagi, a scribe who unfolds the story of Rocky Bhai and KGF in Chapter 1. However, he backed out of the sequel and he was replaced by Prakash Rai. The team was mum about the major change that happened in the sequel. Now director Prashanth Neel has finally talked about the absence of Ananth Nag in the film.

Speaking about the same, ‘Ananth Nag backed out of the film due to personal reasons. He chose not to be a part of the film and he must comment on it. It is his wish and priority about the choice of films. Prakash Rai will be continuing the story and we have done justice to it’ says Prashanth Neel.

The film is written and directed by Prashanth Neel, while Vijaykumar Kiragandur has produced the film under Hombale Films. Bhuvan Gowda is the cinematographer, while Ravi Basrur is the music composer.

‘KGF 2’ stars Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Prakash Rai, Harish Rai, Rao Ramesh and others play prominent roles in the film.
