‘Vijayananda’ a biopic based on the life of Padmashri Dr Vijay Sankeshwar was officially launched at the VRL campus in Varur near Hubli on Sunday.

Actor-director V Ravichandran and Ganesh came over were present at the launch and wished the team a huge success. The first shot of the film was shot on Nihal (who is playing the role of Vijay Sankeshwar) and Ananth Nag.
Vijay Sankeshwar is an Indian businessman and is the chairman of India’s largest logistics firm VRL Group. Vijay Sankeshwar launched the VRL Group in 1975 with one vehicle and went to become the owner of the largest fleet of commercial vehicles in India. The company which was launched with one lorry now owns more than 5000 vehicles and has branches across the country. The film is based on the life of Vijay Sankeshwar and how he went on to become one of the successful businessmen of the country.

‘Vijayananda’ is written and directed by Rishika Sharma who had earlier directed ‘Trunk’. Anand Sankeshwar, son of Anand Sankeshwar is producing the film under the newly launched VRL Productions.
The film will be released in multiple languages and stars Nihal, Ravichandran, Ananth Nag, Vinaya Prasad and others in prominent roles. Sundar, who has scored music for ‘Geetha Govindam’ will be composing the music for this film. Keerthan Poojary is the cinematographer.
