Actor Vicky who made his debut with Soori’s ‘Kendasampige’ has silently turned director with his new film ‘Kaala Patthar’. Vicky has completed the film except for a song and is looking forward to release the film in June.

‘Kaala Patthar’ was announced last year itself. The film was supposed to be directed by debutante Chethan and Vicky had also gained 7 Kgs for his role. However, due to various reasons the director and producers walked out of the film and now Vicky himself has directed the film.

Vicky came to tinsel town as an assistant director for Soori. He turned hero with Soori’s ‘Kenda Sampige’. Though the film was a hit, Vicky found it hard to find another film. He finally got a chance to act in ‘College Kumara’ being directed by Hari Santhosh. After two years of ‘College Kumara’ release, Vicky finally got another chance in the form of ‘Kala Patthar’.

‘Kalaa Patthar’ is written by Satyaprakash of ‘Rama Rama Re’ fame. Anoop Seelin has composed the music, while Sandeep Kumar is the cinematographer. The film which has been shot in many places in North Karnataka is jointly produced by Nagaraj and Suresh.
