Puneeth Rajkumar’s new film ‘Dvitva’ was announced earlier this month. The film is being produced by Vijaykumar Kiragandur and directed by ‘Lucia’ Pavan is all set to go on floors in the month of September.
Meanwhile, actress Trisha is said to have been roped in as the heroine of the film. Though there is no official confirmation from the team, sources say Trisha has been approached to play the female lead, for which the actress has given her nod to act in the film. Trisha is currently busy with Maniratnam’s ‘Ponniyan Selvan’ and is expected to join the ‘Dvitva’ team, once she completes her prior commitments.
If Trisha comes on board, this will be her second stint in the Kannada film industry. Trisha had made her debut with Puneeth Rajkumar’s ‘Power’ which was released in 2014. After that the actress stayed away from Sandalwood and was busy in Telugu and Tamil in the last few years.
‘Dvitva’ was a concept for which Pavan was working for many years. Last year, after the lockdown, Pavan happened to narrate the story to Vijaykumar and Puneeth to which they agreed. The film is about a character and his discovery about himself. Puneeth will be seen in a different avatar in this film. As of now the star cast of the film is being finalised. Advaitha Gurumurthy and Poornachandra Tejaswi will be handling the cinematography and music departments respectively.
