‘Challenging Star’ Darshan celebrated his birthday on Wednesday (Feb 16) in a low profile manner. Meanwhile, the theme poster of his new film with Tharun Sudhir was released through social media.

After ‘Robert’, Tharun Sudhir was supposed to direct a historical film for Darshan to be produced by Umapathy Srinivas Gowda. However, the film will not be made due to various reasons. Now senior producer Rockline Venkatesh has brought together Darshan and Tharun Sudhir for a new film.

Before this, Rockline had started ‘Rajaveera Madakari Nayaka’ starring Darshan. The historical film being directed by veteran director S V Rajendra Singh Babu is said to have been shelved post Covid and in that place, will be making another film with Darshan and Tharun Sudhir. This is Darshan and Tharun’s third film after ‘Chowka’ and ‘Robert’.

The theme poster showcases a guard dog leading a flock of sheep. Though nothing much has been revealed about the film, the poster subtly tells that Darshan plays a savior who protects the downtrodden. The makers have announced in the poster that the film will be based on some real incidents.

The film which is tentatively titled as ‘D56’ will be launched once Darshan completes ‘Kranti’ directed by V Harikrishna.
