The shooting for Kamal Haasan starrer ‘Indian 2’ directed by Shankar is likely to be resumed soon. Meanwhile, actress Tamannah Bhatia is said to be replacing Kajal Aggarwal as the new heroine of the film.
The shooting for ‘Indian 2’ was launched early 2019 and the team shot major portions of the film. The shooting was stopped after an unexpected accident that occurred on the sets in February 2019 resulting in the death of three crew members. The shooting was stopped due to Covid-19 followed by an issue between Shankar and Lyca Productions.
Now, the issues between the producer and the director have been resolved and the shooting is likely to start next year, once Shankar is thorough with his new film starring Ramcharan Teja and Kiara Advani. But actress Kajal Aggarwal is rumoured to be pregnant and staying away from the limelight. So, the team has planned to replace her with another actress and Tamannah’s name has been surfaced as the new heroine of the film.
But neither the team nor the actress has confirmed about the news and the official confirmation from both the sides is pending.
‘Indian 2’ is the sequel to the blockbuster film which was released in 1996. The action thriller is written and directed by Shankar who also directed the original. The film stars Kamal Haasan, Rakul Preet Singh, Bobby Simha, Samuthirakani and others in prominent roles. Ratnavelu and Ravi Varman are handling the cinematography, while Aniruddh Ravichander is the music composer.
