Kollywood actor Suriya Shivakumar who is celebrating his 46th birthday today (23rd July) has unveiled the title and first look of his new film. The film which was tentatively called as Suriya 39, has now been officially titled as ‘Jai Bhim’.
Suriya himself unveiled the first post of ‘Jai Bhim’ through his Twitter handle on Friday. Suriya said that he is very much excited to share the first look and is looking forward for the film.
‘Jai Bhim’ is a slogan used by the followers of Ambedkar. One of the highlights of the film is, Suriya will be playing the role of a lawyer who fights for the rights of Tribal communities. The poster depicts that is a socially and politically relevant film, with Suriya fighting for the rights of the downtrodden.
Suriya apart from acting is also producing the film under his 2D Entertainment production house. Journalist turned filmmaker TJ Gnanavel has scripted the film apart from directing it. Apart from Suriya, Rajisha Vijayan, Prakash Raj and others will be seen in pivotal roles in the film.
Suriya who is currently shooting for ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ will join the sets of ‘Jai Bhim’ after completion of his portions in the film.
