Sumalatha Ambarish to play Chief Minister’s role in ‘Kranti’?

‘Challenging Star’ Darshan’s ‘Kranti’ is on the verge of the completion. Meanwhile, there is a news that actor turned politician Sumalatha Ambarish will be playing the role of a Chief Minister in the film.

Sumalatha Ambarish acting in the film is not new. In fact, the veteran actress had come to the launch of the event and had sounded the clap for the first shot of the film. There was news that Sumalatha would be playing a pivotal role, but her role was not divulged. Sources say, she plays the role of a Chief Minister.

The first look of ‘Kranti’ was released in the DBeats Music World channel of You Tube on Darshan’s birthday in February. The film talks about the education system and Darshan is seen in a stylish avatar in the teaser.

The shooting for the film started last year. The team has shot in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Goa and other places and the team is currently in Mysore shooting for the final schedule. The shooting is expected to complete by June and the film is likely to hit the screens in the month of October.

‘Kranti’ (The Revolution) is Darshan’s 55th film as an actor and is produced by Shylaja Nag and B Suresha under the Media House Banner. The film is directed by music director turned director V Harikrishna.

Senior actor Ravichandran is seen in the role of Darshan’s father, while Mukhyamantri Chandru plays his grandfather. Rachita Ram, Umashri and others play prominent roles in the film. ‘Kranti’ is a PAN-Indian film, which will be released in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam simultaneously.
