If everything had gone right, then Sudeep starrer ‘Vikrant Rona’ should have been released by now. But due to a postponement, the film has been pushed further. If sources are to be believed, the film will release in or only after May and not before that.
If the team had just waited for a couple of days, then ‘Vikrant Rona’ would be the first of PAN Indian films to release post third wave of Corona. The film was scheduled to release on the 25th of February. But as the permission for 100 percent occupancy in theaters was delayed, the team postponed the film indefinitely. Just two days after the team postponed the film, permission for 100 percent occupancy in theaters by the State Government.
Now there are many big films lined up for release including ‘Radhe Shyam’, ‘RRR’, ‘April 14’, ‘Acharya’, ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ and others. The season will start fromm March 11th with the release of ‘Radhe Shyam’ and continue to ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ on the May 12th. So, the makers of ‘Vikrant Rona’ have decided not to release for the next two months.
The team is planning to release the film by May end or June first week, but is afraid whether the audience will come to the theaters as it is the start of the school as well as rainy season. There are also rumours that the film may be pushed further, if it is not released in the month of May.
‘Vikrant Rona’ is a PAN Indian film to be released in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam. The film will also release in 3D version and will be dubbed in various foreign languages and released in various countries simultaneously. The film stars Sudeep, Jacqueline Fernandes, Nirup Bhandari, Neetha Ashok, Ravishankar Gowda and others in prominent roles.
The film is written and directed by Anup Bhandari, while Jack Manjunath and Alankar Pandian have jointly produced the film. Ajaneesh Loknath is the music director.
