Sandalwood actor-producer-director V Ravichandran has said that Sudeep is like his elder son and is an integral part of his family.
Ravichandran was speaking during the trailer launch event of his latest film ‘Drishya 2’, which a remake of Malayalam hit ‘Drishyam 2’. The film is all set to hit the screens on the 10th of December.
‘Sudeep is like my elder son. There were six members in my family and he has become the seventh member. He is always just a phone call away. If there is any event of mine, I just order him to be present during the occasion. He will promptly attend it. Even he calls and invites me for his events’ said Ravichandran.

Ravichandran recalled his association with Sudeep and said that ‘Manikya’ was a turning point in his career. ‘I was playing the role of hero till that time. Sudeep wanted me to play his father’s role in the film, but was very much hesitant to approach me. However, he called me and the film turned out to be a turning point in my career. The film was a huge hit and after that I started acting in father roles in other films’ said Ravichandran.
Sudeep thanked Ravichandran for making him a member of his family. ‘During the making of ‘Manikya’, I had requested Ravichandran to watch ‘Drishya’. If he had liked the film, then I had plans to remake it in Kannada. But the same project went to other producers and Ravichandran acted in the film’ said Sudeep. ‘Drishya 2’ stars Ravichandran, Navya Nair, Ananth Nag, Sadhu Kokila, Aarohi Narayan, Lasya Nagaraj, Pramod Shetty in prominent roles. The film is directed by P Vasu and produced by V P Sarathi under E4 Entertainment who had earlier produced ‘Drishya’.
