Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘83’ which is a biographical sport film is all set to release during the Christmas season. Meanwhile, Sudeep and Prithviraj have joined hands with Reliance Entertainment to present the Kannada and Malayalam versions of the Film.

‘83’ will be releasing in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam apart from Hindi. To make the film reach to the audience in all languages, Reliance has roped in Superstars of the respective languages to promote and present the film. Hence, Sudeep and Prithviraj were approached and both of them have accepted to present the film in Kannada and Malayalam respectively.

The film is based on India winning the Cricket World Cup in 1983 in England. While, Ranveer Singh is seen in the role of Kapil Dev, the film also stars Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Harrdy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani and others in prominent roles.

‘83’ was completed in 2019 and was supposed to release in April 2020. However, due to the pandemic the film was delayed multiple times and now the film will be releasing finally on the 24^th of December. The teaser of the film was released recently and the trailer is expected to release today (30^th November).

The film is jointly produced by Kabir Khan, Vishnuvardhan Induri, Deepika Padukone and Sajid Nadiadwala. Kabir Khan has jointly written the film with Sanjay Puran Singh and Chauhan, apart from directing it.
