The shooting for ‘Love You Rachchu’ is in full progress post second lockdown and the team was busy shooting for fight sequences in a farm in Jogenahalli near Bidadi in Ramanagar district on Monday, when the incident occurred. Vivek was tied with a metal rope and was elevated using an industrial crane. The crane touched a high tension wire and Vivek died immediately because of electrocution.
The police said that the mishap occurred due to the negligence by the crew and has arrested stunt master Vinod, director Shankar Raj and crane operator Muniraju for the mishap. The police have also asked producer Guru Deshpande to be present for questioning. Though Guru Deshpande has not appeared before the police, he has announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakhs to the deceased family.
This is not the first mishap which is happening in the Kannada film industry. Earlier in 2016, actors Anil and Raghav drowned to death after jumping from a helicopter into Thippagondanahalli lake while shooting for ‘Masthigudi’.
