The untold of ‘Nightingale of India’ and freedom fighter Sarojini Naidu is all set to come on screen. The biopic which is titled as ‘Sarojini’ has Sonal Monteiro playing the titular role of Sarojini Naidu. The film is likely to go floors in the month of June.

Music director Vinay Chandra who has composed music for many films has turned director with ‘Sarojini’. Dheeraj Mishra has written the story and screenplay after an extensive research on Sarojini Naidu and is said to have taken the consent of her family for this biopic.

‘Sarojini’ talks about the life of personal life as of Sarojini Naidu and talks about the various stages of her life. Sonal Monteiro will be playing the youth side of Sarojini, while senior actress Shantipriya will be seen as the elderly Sarojini. Popular actor Hiten Tejwani will be portraying the role of Sarojini’s husband Govindarajulu Naidu. Senior actress Zarina Wahab will be also playing an prominent role in the film.

 Sonal Monteiro says she always to be a part of biopic and is very thankful that she got a chance to play the role of Sarojini Naidu at very early stage of her career and thanks the team for giving her an opportunity to act in the film.

‘Sarojini’ is being produced by Honey Chowdhary and Charan Suvarna under Visica Films. The film will be directly made in Kannada and Hindi and will be dubbed in Tamil and Telugu.
