Actress Sonal Monteiro is the latest addition to Yogaraj Bhatt’s new film ‘Garadi’ starring Yashas Surya. The actress has replaced Rachita Ram as the heroine of the film.

Rachita Ram was roped in as the heroine of the film. Rachita Ram along with Yogaraj Bhatt met the film’s producer and Karnataka’s Agriculture Minister B C Patil at his residence in Bangalore. Just when the shooting for the film was about to start, the actress has walked out of the film citing date issues. Yogaraj Bhatt has brought in Sonal Monteiro as the new heroine of the film.

This is Sonal’s second film with Yogaraj Bhatt. Earlier, Sonal had acted in Bhatt’s ‘Panchatantra’ which was an average at the box-office. Apart from ‘Garadi’, Sonal is also a part of films like ‘Sugar Factory’, ‘Banaras’, ‘Shambo Shiva Shankara’ and others.

The shooting for ‘Garadi’ will start from this week. The film will be telling the story of traditional gyms of Karnataka. The film will be shot in Northern parts of Karnataka including Badami, Aihole and Pattadakal. After ‘Dhana Kayonu’, Yogaraj Bhatt is returning back to rural Karnataka with a new story. Vikas and Yogaraj Bhatt have jointly written the screenplay for this film.

Apart from Yashas Surya and Sonal Monteiro, ‘Challenging Star’ Darshan along with B C Patil will also be playing prominent roles in the film. V Harikrishna is the music director, while Niranjan Babu is the cameraman.
