The South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA), which is one of the popular awards show in South India is all set to be held in Bangalore on the 10th and 11th of September.
The 10th edition of the prestigious awards will be held in memory of late actor Puneeth Rajkumar who died of massive heart attack in Bangalore on the 29th of October. The awards function will be held at the Palace Grounds in Bangalore.
Brinda Prasad the chairperson of SIIMA was in Bangalore recently to announce about the awards event being held here. Actors Rana Daggubati, Dhananjay, Shanvi Srivatsav, Srileela and others were present at the occasion.
Brinda Prasad said that there were two reasons for the event to be held in Bangalore this year. ‘Firstly, the event has been held here in memory of the late Puneeth Rajkumar. The second reason is Kannada films are carving a niche in the PAN India level. So, we have planned to organize the event here in Bangalore’ said Brinda Prasad.
Dhananjay said that SIIMA is not a mere award for him, but fond memories. ‘The first time I went there to receive an award is still fresh. I am happy that this time the event is being held in Namma Bengaluru. We must make it a grand success’ said Dhananjay.
