Shooting for Nikhil Kumar’s ‘Rider’ resumes after lockdown

Former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumar’s latest film ‘Rider, which is being directed by Vijay Kumar Konda was struck because of the lockdown. Now, the team has resumed the shooting for the film in Bangalore.

‘Rider’ was launched earlier last year and the shooting for the film started immediately. However, due to lockdown the shooting was stopped. After the lockdown though many films resumed shooting, the team of ‘Rider’ restrained from shooting due to various reasons. Again the second lockdown was imposed and now after the relaxation of the lockdown the team has started the second schedule.

‘Rider’ marks the fourth film of Nikhil Kumar after ‘Jaguar’, ‘Seetharama Kalyana’ and ‘Kurukshetra’. The film which is being produced by Lahari Films is being simultaneously made in Kannada and Telugu. The First Look and Motion Poster of the film were released a few months back and the film has garnered a lot of expectations from Nikhil’s fans.

‘Rider’ marks the debut of Telugu director Vijay Kumar Konda to Kannada cinema. Apart from Nikhil Kumar, Kashmira Pardesi, Rajesh Nataranga, Dattanna, Chikkanna and others in prominent roles. Arjun Janya is composing the music for the film.
