‘Duniya’ Vijay’s second film as a director, ‘Bheema’ was launched on Monday in Bangalore. ‘Daali’ Dhananjay and Srinagara Kitty came over as the chief guests and wished the team a huge success.
Vijay’s debut film ‘Salaga’ was launched a few years back at the Bande Maakalamma Temple in Srinagar and the film was a huge success. The sentiment continued here also and the film was launched at the same venue, with many artists and technicians from the Kannada film industry being a part of the event.
Vijay says the film has been inspired by real incidents. ‘Though the story was ready, we couldn’t find an apt title for the film. After many round of discussions, we found that ‘Bheema’ is apt for the film. But the title was with Ramu Enterprises. We are thankful to Malashree madam for giving us this title’ said Vijay.
Like his previous film, Vijay is introducing a lot of newcomers in this film. Vijay is introducing a new villain called Black Dragon Manju in this film. The heroine is yet to be finalised. Kalyani Raju, who acted as Vijay’s mother in ‘Jayammana Maga’ is playing a prominent role in the film.
‘Bheema’ is Vijay’s 28th film as a hero. Vijay apart from acting in the film will also be directing it. Krishna Sarthak of ‘Bhairagee’ fame and distributor Jagadeesh Gowda are the producers. Charan Raj is the music composer, while Shivasena is the cinematographer. Maasthi Manju is in charge of the dialogues.
