Kannada, News

Sandalwood actor Shivarajkumar has said that he will meet Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai soon and request him to give permission to 100 percent occupancy in theaters.

Recently, the Government has withdrawn the night curfew, but has continued 50 percent occupancy in theaters. The film fraternity has objected to this, saying that unless the permission for 100 percent occupancy is not given, the audience will not come to theaters.

The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce has said that it would meet the Chief Minister in this regard and request him to give permission to screen for full audience as the Corona cases have come down in the last few days and the Corona third wave has subsided. Many celebrities have also urged through the social media that permission for 100 percent occupancy must be given.

Speaking to media persons in Mysore the Hatrick Hero has that though the Government has helped various fields by revoking the 50:50 concept, but has continued in case of cinema. ‘The Chief Minister has helped Kannada Cinema many times before and I am confident that he will help us by giving permission to screen films to full audience in theaters. I will soon meet the CM and request him’ said Shivarajkumar.
