Hatrick Hero Shivarajkumar on Wednesday completed dubbing for Puneeth Rajkumar in the latter’s new film ‘James’ which is all set to release on the 17th of March.
After the demise of Puneeth, there was a question about who would be doing dubbing for his role in ‘James’. Though Puneeth had completed his portions for the film, he was yet to dub for it. That’s when many of his fans urged that Shivarajkumar must dub for Puneeth in the film.

Though Shivarajkumar was ready to dub, the team thought of other options including restoring the original voice of Puneeth while shooting the film. As there was a lot of noise, the team thought it would be better to get dubbed by Shivarajkumar and the actor completed dubbing for the film in two and half days.
Director Chethan says Shivarajkumar completed the dubbing just to be on the safer side and the team is still exploring about restoring the voice of Puneeth from the sets. The director says the team will come to a conclusion by the second week of February and if the restoration is not possible, then Shivarajkumar’s voice will be made final for Puneeth in the film.
Puneeth Rajkumar starrer ‘James’ was supposed to release only in Kannada earlier. Now the makers have planned to dub it into other languages and release it simultaneously. ‘James’ will now be a PAN Indian film and will release on Puneeth’s birthday (March 17th).
‘James’ is written and directed by Chethan and produced by Kishore Pattikonda who had earlier produced ‘Kabira’. The film stars Puneeth Rajkumar along with Priya Anand, Sharath Kumar, Avinash and others in prominent roles. Charan Raj is the music director.
Recently, a special poster of Puneeth from the film was released on Republic Day.
