Shivarajkumar starrer ‘Bhajarangi 2’ is all set to release on Zee 5 From Thursday (December 23rd). Meanwhile, Shivarajkumar has dedicated the film to actor and younger brother Puneeth Rajkumar, who was fondly known as Appu in Karnataka.

‘Bhajarangi 2’ was released on the 29th of October across Karnataka. The film had a huge opening and within hours of the film’s release, news of Puneeth’s demise shocked the people of Karnataka. The screening of the film was suspended immediately and the screening started only after a week, when everything came back to normalcy. Though the film was re-released again, the percentage of the audience who saw the film was very low.

The satellite as well as the OTT rights of the film was bagged by Zee earlier and now the film is all set to stream from the 23rd December. Meanwhile, Shivarajkumar in a video has dedicated the film to his younger brother.

‘The entire team of ‘Bhajarangi 2’ has decided to dedicate the film to Appu. The film was edited in his editing studio and Appu who had watched the glimpses of the film had appreciated a few scenes. He was also present at the pre-release event of the film as a chief guest. I, Appu and Yash even danced to a song on that stage. On the day of his demise, he had even called a distributor and had got the report of the film. Appu was always near to the film and there are many sequences in the film relating to Appu. We have decided to dedicate the film to him. This film is for Appu. For what he was, what we didn’t know about him, what you are going to know about Appu is ‘Bhajarangi 2’ said Shivarajkumar.

‘Bhajarangi 2’ stars Shivarajkumar along with Bhavana Menon, Shivaraj K R Pete, Shruthi, ‘Bhajarangi’ Loki and others. Arjun Janya has composed the songs of the film.
