Sandalwood actor Shivarajkumar has confirmed that he will be playing a guest role in Kollywood’s Superstar Rajanikanth’s new film which is tentatively titled as ‘Thalaiva 169’.

‘Thalaiva 169’ is being directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar of ‘Beast’ and ‘Doctor’ fame. The new film will feature Rajanikanth in a dynamic role and the shooting is expected to start by August.

Earlier, there were rumours that Shivarajkumar has been approached to play a guest appearance in the film. However, there was no confirmation from the actor or the team. Now the ‘Hatrik Hero’ himself has confirmed that he has been approached for a role and he will be acting in a cameo appearance in the film.

‘Rajanikanth has seen me from my childhood and I share a good bond with the actor. It’s a dream for any actor to act with the legendary actor and I am glad that I have got an opportunity to act with him in the film. I am sure fans will love to watch both of us act together’ says Shivarajkumar.

Shivarajkumar says that the pre-production of the film is in progress and the shooting is likely to start from the month of August. The Sandalwood King says his and Rajanikanth’s portions might by shot in Bangalore or Mysore in the month of September. The actor does not divulge anything about his role in the film.

This is the first time that Shivarajkumar will be acting in a Tamil film. Earlier, he had acted as a narrator in Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Telugu film ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ being directed by Krish.
