Shivarajkumar breaks down during ‘James’ Pre-release event

It’s been nearly four and a half months since the demise of Puneeth Rajkumar. But actor and his brother Shivarajkumar, is yet to come to terms about the actor’s demise. Shivarajkumar has broken down many a times in the last few months and on Sunday during the pre-release event of ‘James’, the actor broke down once again.

The pre-release event of ‘James’ was held at the Palace Grounds in Bangalore. Dr Rajkumar’s entire family was present during the occasion. Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar was also present, but left the event early. Puneeth’s brothers Shivarajkumar and Raghavendra Rajkumar who were present broke down during their speech.

‘From ‘Premada Kanike’ to ‘James’ we have seen all his films. It’s very disturbing that Puneeth is not here for the release of his film. Though we work and laugh, it’s very disturbing deep inside. He was a pet in our entire family. I have never thought this time would come. When people from other states also convey their condolences, I feel I am fortunate that I am Puneeth’s brother because he has earned the love and affection of lakhs of people’ said Shivarajkumar.

Shivarajkumar said his next film will be a tribute to Puneeth Rajkumar. ‘There were many attempts to bring us together for a film. However, that couldn’t happen. Recently, a Telugu director narrated a script to me. The audience will see both Appu and me in the film. It’s an emotional script and the audience will connect with the script. This film will be a dedication to him’ said Shivarajkumar.

‘James’ is all set to release on the 17th of March on the occasion of Puneeth’s birthday. The Pan-Indian film will be released in 4000 screens across the globe in five different languages. The film written and directed by Chethan Kumar star Puneeth, Priya Anand, Sharath Kumar, Srikanth, Anu Prabhakar and others in prominent roles.
