Ramesh Aravind is all set to solve yet another enigma in ‘Shivaji Suratkal 2’. Besides mystery, the film also has an emotional angle as the film delves deep into Shivaji’s personal life.

Recenty, director Akash has said that Shivaji’s father Vijendra Suratkal played by veteran actor Nassar will be making a special appearance in the film. Now it has been revealed that Shivaji’s daughter will also be seen in this film. How Siri came into Shivaji’s life is another running theme and the audience will witness three different timelines in the film.

As of now, the team has completed 21 days of shoot that involved outdoor shoots in Suratkal, Malpe beach, Kapu beach, Marvanthe and Murdeshwara. The final leg of the film is likely to commence soon.
Ramesh Aravind, Raghu Ramanakoppa and Radhika Narayan are reprising their roles from the first film. Actress Meghana Gaonkar is playing DCP Deepa Kamath. Senior actors Shobharaj and Srinivasa Prabhu have joined the starcast.

Earlier, Guruprasad M G was the cinematographer of the film. However, due to date issues, Darshan M Ambat son of legendrary cinematographer Madhu Ambat has been roped in as the new cinematographer. Nakul Abhayankar is scoring the music. Rekha K N and Anup Gowda are producing the film under Anjanadri Cine creations. Akash Srivatsa has written the film apart from directing it.

Meanwhile, the second poster of the film was released on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri on the 1st March.
