Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming film ‘Sardar Udham’ has opted for a direct OTT release. The film will be streaming from the 16th of October, on Amazon Prime.
‘Sardar Udham’ is a biographical film about Udham Singh a revolutionary freedom fighter. Udham Singh is known for assassinating Michael O’Dwyer who was responsible for the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre in Amritsar in 1919. The film chronicles how Udham Singh followed Michael O’Dwyer to London and killed him there.
The film was officially launched on the 04th of March 2019 and got completed by the year end. ‘Sardar Udham’ was supposed to release last year. However, due to various delays the film was postponed and now the film is all set to release on the 16th of October.
‘Sardar Udham’ is directed by Shoojit Sircar of ‘Vicky Donor’, ‘Piku’ and ‘Madras Café’ fame. The film is produced by Rising Sun Films in collaboration with Kino Works. The film stars Vicky Kaushal, Shaun Scott, Stephen Hogan and others in prominent roles.
