Well known producer and Kannada activist Sa Ra Govindu on Sunday has filed his nomination for the post of president of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce. The elections for KFCC will be held on the 28th of May in Bangalore.
The elections for the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce have been pending for the last two years. This time the president post is for the producer sector and Sa Ra Govindu and Ba Ma Harish are contesting for the post.
Sa Ra Govindu has already been a president once and Ba Ma Harish has been trying for the post for many years. However, he has lost all the elections he has contested so far. This time also Sa Ra Govindu is said to have an upper hand and is likely to win the elections as there is no strong competition from Ba Ma Harish and his team.
Meanwhile, the members of Sa Ra Govindu’s syndicate also filed nominations along with him on Sunday at the KFCC building. While Karisubbu has contested for the post of vice-president from the producers sector, Jnaneshwar Aithal and B P Kumar have contested from the distributor and exhibitor sector respectively.
The post of general secretary is also for the three sectors and while K M Veeresh has contested from the producer sector, M N Kumar and L C Kushal have filed their nominations from the distributor and exhibitor sector.
The 64th elections for KFCC will be held at the Gururaja Kalyana Mantapa in Sheshadripuram in Bangalore on 28th May between 2 to 6 PM. The results will be announced after 7 PM.
