Kangana Ranaut’s new film ‘Thalaivi’, a biographical film based on the life of actress and Tamil Nadu’s former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa is all set to release on the 10th of September across India.
‘Thalaivi’ was launched in 2019 and was delayed due to Corona and lockdown. However, the shooting of the film got completed after the first lockdown. The film was scheduled for a theatrical release in April this year. The film was pushed further due to second lockdown. Now the film has been rescheduled to release on the 10th of September.
‘Thalaivi’ is being directed by A L Vijay and produced by Vishnuvardhan Induri and Shailesh R Singh. The film is jointly written by K V Vijayendra Prasad (Bahubali fame), Madhavan Karky and Rajat Arora.
The film will be simultaneously releasing in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu Languages. The film is titled as ‘Thalaivi’ in Tamil and Jaya in Hindi and Telugu.
The film stars Kangana Ranaut as Jayalalitha and Aravind Swamy in the role of MGR. Nassar, Bhagyashree, Samuthrakani and others play prominent roles in the film.
