Ravichandran is Darshan’s father in ‘Kranti’

Actor-director Ravichandran had said that he will be playing a prominent role in Darshan starrer ‘Kranti’, but has not disclosed about his role in the film. Now the cat is out of the bag and Ravichandran is playing the role of Darshan’s father in the film.

Earlier, Ravichandran had played the role of Sudeep’s father in ‘Manikya’. That was the first time he was seen in a supporting role Ravichandran has been playing supporting roles from then on. Though Ravichandran had acted with Darshan earlier, this is the first time that the ‘Crazy Star’ will be seen in the role of his father.

Ravichandran says that ‘Kranti’ is like his home production and is not concerned about the story, role or remuneration. ‘Harikrishna had composed songs for my previous films. Now he has turned independent director with this film. B Suresh had assisted me in many of my previous films. He is the producer. So, this is like a home-production for me. When they asked me to do a role in this film, I immediately said okay and did not ask anything about the story or role or remuneration’ said Ravichandran in an earlier interview.

 ‘Kranti’ (The Revolution) is Darshan’s 55th film as an actor and is produced by Shylaja Nag and B Suresha under the Media House Banner. The film is directed by music director turned director V Harikrishna. The film was officially launched on the occasion of Vijayadashami Festival and the shooting is in progress.

Apart from Darshan and Ravichandran, Rachita Ram, Mukyamantri Chandru, Umashri and others are playing prominent roles in the film.

‘Kranti’ is a PAN-Indian film, which will be shot in Kannada and will be dubbed in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam.
