Actor V Ravichandran is back with a new film called ‘Drishya 2’. The film being directed by senior director P Vasu was launched in ‘White House’ in Bangalore on Monday. Vasu shot a few scenes featuring Ravichandran and Ananth Nag on the launch day and is planning to conclude the film in a start to finish schedule.
‘Drishya 2’ is the remake of Malayalam hit ‘Drishyam 2’ which was released in Amazon Prime a few months ago. The film featuring Mohan Lal, Meena and others in prominent roles is a sequel to ‘Drishyam’ which was not only a huge hit, but also was remade in other languages including Kannada.
Ravichandran who had earlier acted as Rajendra Ponnappa in ‘Drishya’ which was a remake of the ‘Drishyam’, will be reprising his role in the sequel. Many of the actors from the first film including Navya Nair, Aarohi Narayan, Sivaji Prabhu and others will be continuing in this film also. Few characters featuring Ananth Nag, Pramod Shetty will also be playing prominent characters in the film.
‘Drishya 2’ is being produced by V P Sarathi under E4 Entertainment who had earlier produced ‘Drishya’. Ravichandran’s favourite and permanent cameraman G S V Seetharam will be handling the cinematography for this film. The shooting for this film is in full progress and is expected to complete by mid-August.
