Director Radhakrishna has pulled off a casting coup for his new film starring debutante Kireeti in lead role. Radhakrishna has roped in Ravichandran and Khushbu to play a prominent roles in the film. One of the highlights is, Ravichandran and Khushbu are acting together after a gap of 31 years.
It was Ravichandran who introduced Khushbu to Kannada cinema in ‘Ranadheera’. The film was a huge hit and the duo went on to act in films like ‘Anjada Gandu’, ‘Yugapurusha’ and ‘Shanti Kranti’. Apart from the last film, all the three were musical blockbusters. After ‘Shanti Kranti’, Ravichandran and Khushbu could not work together due to various reasons.
In a talk show few years back, Ravichandran and Khushbu who were present expressed their desire to work together. However, the time is now ripe for them to seen together on screen. Though their roles are not divulged, sources say they play Kireeti’s parents in the film.
Apart from Ravichandran and Khushbu, actress Genelia D’Souza is back to Sandalwood after 14 years. The actress will be playing Kireeti Reddy’s sister in the film.
The bilingual film which is simultaneously being shot in Kannada and Telugu is produced by Sai Korrapati under Vaaraahi Chalana Chitra, which produced ‘Baahubali’. The film has a strong technical crew with K K Senthil Kumar handling cinematography, Devi Sri Prasad aka DSP as music composer and Peter Hein as action director.
