Just when the Government has given permission to screen films to 100 percent occupancy in theaters and Kannada films lining up for release, Dhananjay starrer ‘Rathnan Prapancha’ has taken a different route. The film is all set to have its digital release and the film will be streaming in Amazon Prime from the 22nd of October.
‘Rathanan Prapancha’ will be having the distinction of the first star film in Kannada to have a direct digital release. Though films releasing in OTT is not in Kannada, none of the stars films have seen a direct digital release. All the films so far have been released in theaters first and later in OTTs. ‘Rathnan Prapancha’ has set a rare example of getting released in OTT directly.
‘Rathanan Prapancha’ is being produced by Karthik Gowda and Yogi G Raj under KRG Studios. The film is written and directed by Rohit Padaki, who had earlier directed ‘Dayavittu Gamanisi’.
The film has an ensemble star cast including Dhananjay, Mona Rebecca John, Umashri, Shruthi, Anu Prabhakar, Ravishankar Gowda, Pramod and others in prominent roles. The trailer of the film has already been released and has raised a lot of expectations among the viewers.
