Raghava Lawrence is Vettaiyan Raja in ‘Chandramukhi 2’

The makers of Chandramukhi 2 which is all set to release on the auspicious occasion of Ganesha Chaturthi on Monday has revealed the first look poster of the film.

The poster features Raghava Lawrence as King Vettaiyan, a role that was previously essayed by Superstar Rajinikanth in the film ‘Chandramukhi’ which was released in 2005.

The character can be seen descending the stairs of his palace. Raghava sports an evil grin on his face with rich clothing and jewels. The actor-director while presenting the first look of the film through his social media has also thanked Rajinikanth for his support.

‘Chandramukhi’ is the remake of Kannada blockbuster ‘Apthamitra’ which was based on the Malayalam film ‘Manichithrathazhu’. ‘Chandramukhi’ starred Rajinikanth, Jyothika, Prabhu and others in prominent roles and after a gap of 18 years the sequel for the hit film is being made.

‘Chandramukhi 2’ also stars Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut who plays a dancer in the king’s court who was renowned for her beauty and dancing prowess. The film has music by Oscar winning composer M M Keeravani. Veteran director P Vasu has written the story and screenplay apart from directing the film, while Lyca Productions has bankrolled the project.
