‘Pushpa’ digital rights sold for Rs. 22 crores?

Allu Arjun starrer ‘Pushpa’ is all set to stream in Amazon Prime tonight (07th Jan). Meanwhile, there is news that the film’s digital rights from all the languages have fetched a whopping Rs. 22 crores for the producers.

Though the film was released in five languages theatrically, only four language versions of the film will be released in Amazon Prime tonight. Sources say, the makers have requested the major digital platform to not to release the Hindi version immediately, as it is getting good collections theatrically. The Hindi version is said to have collected more than 60 crores in North India market that is the reason for the postponement of Hindi version in OTT.

‘Pushpa’ was released on the 17th of December and after two weeks of release, the film is still going strong at the box-office by collecting more than Rs. 300 crores across the nation. But sources say, there was an agreement between the team and the popular digital platform of releasing the film after two weeks of theatrical release. According to that, the film will start streaming from Friday.

‘Pushpa: The Rise’ is an action thriller written and directed by Sukumar. Allu Arjun plays the titular role of Pushpa Raj alias Pushpa, Rashmika Mandanna, Dhananjay, Fahadh Faasil, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj and others play prominent roles in the film.

‘Pushpa’ is a PAN-Indian film and is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner. Devi Sri Prasad aka DSP has composed the music for the film.
