Sandalwood actress Priyanka Upendra has become the brand ambassador of a new Television serial called ‘Ardhangi’ which is all said to be aired in Star Suvarna from the 23^rd of May.

Priyanka Upendra who is very much inspired by the content of the serial, has accepted to be the brand ambassador and has been promoting it.

Priyanka says, it was the story which made her to be the brand ambassador of a serial. ‘I got to know about this from my friend. When I heard the story, I really loved it. ‘Ardhangi’ has all the potential to become a good family serial’ said the actress.

The story revolves around Aditi who loses her mother at an early stage. What all Aditi faces in her life is the crux of the serial.

Actress Anjana Deshpande who had earlier acted in films like ‘Tharle Nan Maklu’, ‘Preethiya Rayabhari’ and others is the protagonist. ‘My character is a girl from lower middle class. I play a mature girl in this serial’ says Anjana Deshpande.

Prithvi Shetty who is seen in the role of Diganth, ‘My character is similar to that of Sudeep’s character in ‘Swathimuttu’. It’s a very difficult role and I spent two days with Aruna Chethana, a school dedicated for special children.

‘Ardhangi’ is being directed by M Kumar, while Srinath Raghuram is the producer.
