Dhananjay’s ‘Head Bush’ which is in the news for the last one and a half years is finally set to go on floors on the 09th of August in Bangalore. Meanwhile, multilingual actress Payal Rajput has been roped in as the heroine of the film.
‘RX 100’ fame Payal Rajput has already made her mark in Telugu, Tamil, Punjabi and Hindi films and is all set to make her debut in Kannada through ‘Head Bush’. Though Payal’s role in the film is yet to be revealed, actress has shared her excitement about acting in the film.
‘Head Bush’ was announced first in January 2020 and was supposed to be launched in May last year. The film has been scripted by Agni Sridhar and is to be directed by debutante Shoonya. Though the pre-production of the film got completed, the film could not be launched because of lockdown. Though the lockdown completed, the film could not be started because of Dhananjay’s prior commitments.
Now the film is finally on floors, but with a different producer. Earlier, Ashu Bedra was supposed to produce the film. Now, Dhananjay has taken over the reins of the film and will be co-producing the film with Somanna. The team is planning to release the film simultaneously in six languages.
‘Head Bush’ is a periodic thriller set in the 1980s. The film is about Bangalore’s former don M P Jayaraj and Dhananjay is seen in the role of Jayaraj. Charan Raj has been roped in as the music composer, while Sunoj Velayudhan will be handling the cinematography. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be finalised. The first look of ‘Head Bush’ is all set to be released on the 23rd of August.
