M G Srinivas alias RJ Srini’s new film ‘Old Monk’ is all set to be releasing on the 11th of February next year, hereby clashing with ‘Darling’ Krishna’s ‘Love Mocktail 2’.
Like his previous films, ‘Old Monk’ is also a comic entertainer and promises a lot of entertaining elements. The film stars Srini himself as the hero along with Aditi Prabhudeva, S Narayan, Sihikahi Chandru and others in prominent roles.
The shooting for ‘Old Monk’ was launched early 2022. Due to the pandemic the shooting got delayed and was completed this year. A few months back, ‘Power Star’ Puneeth Rajkumar had released the trailer of the film, which was a big hit among the audience. Srini was looking forward to release the film this year itself, but due to a lot of competition from other films, the film has been pushed next year.
‘Old Monk’ is written and directed by M G Srinivas, while Srujan Yarabolu, Pradeep Sharma and Srinivas funding the film. The outright rights of the film have been bagged by Abhishek Enterprises, a unit of Eros Now and this is Eros’s first venture in Kannada.
The songs of the film are composed by Saurabh – Vaibhav, while Bharath Parashuram is the cinematographer.
