Sandalwood actor Nikhil Kumar who lost the Lok Sabha elections from Mandya in 2019 will be again contesting the elections once again in 2024. Nikhil’s father and former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy officially announced this recently.
Nikhil Kumar made his debut as an actor through ‘Jaguar’ produced by his mother Anitha Kumaraswamy. The film was an average and the actor went on to act in films like ‘Seetharama Kalyana’, ‘Kurukshetra’ and ‘Rider’.
Meanwhile, the actor contested the Lok Sabha elections from Janatha Dal Secular seat in Mandya in 2018 and lost to Sumalatha Ambarish who contested as an independent candidate. Nikhil is planning to test his luck once again by contesting against Sumalatha in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
‘Last time the Congress, BJP and Raitha Sangha got united and this is the reason for Nikhil to lose the elections. He will be contesting in 2024 once again and I hope this time he manages to get the people’s love and affection’ said Kumaraswamy.
Meanwhile, Nikhil is busy with ‘Yaduveera’, which is being directed by debutante Manju Atharva, who had earlier worked as an associate director for films like Yash’s ‘Masterpiece’ and Shivarajkumar’s ‘Mufti’.
‘Yaduveera’ is an action entertainer and is jointly produced by Nisha Venkat Konanki and Supreeth under KVN Productions.
