Well known actor-director who is waiting for a big break has said that he had gone to depression after ‘Maasthi Gudi’, in which two actors Anil and Uday died in a tragic accident during the shooting.

Nagshekhar was a successful director with films like ‘Sanju Weds Geetha’ and ‘Mynaa’ before ‘Maasthi Gudi’. During the making of ‘Maasthi Gudi’ starring ‘Duniya’ Vijay, Anil and Uday who played prominent roles in the film died in an accident. Nagashekhar and others were arrested in the death of the actors. Their death was a big mental trauma for Nagashekhar and the director says he had gone to depression after that film.

‘After Maastigudi, I was very upset and had gone to depression. I used to drink a lot. The deaths of Uday and Anil haunted me a lot. I had lost interest in cinema. One day my friend called me and said that the film industry people are talking ill about me. Some people were of the opinion that I am finished and could not bounce back. I tried to change myself after that. I have been challenging everything from childhood and today I am in a better position. We must not sit idle because of failures. We have to bounce back and fight. Then only we can achieve something’ says Nagashekhar.

The actor-director who has seen a lot of failures in the recent times says he is confident that his upcoming films will be a success at the box-office. ‘I have seen a lot of ups and downs in my life. I have seen many failures and I hope I win in the coming days. I am sure my debut Telugu film ‘Gurtundha Seethakalam’ will become a rage at the box-office. It is all set to release on the 09th of September and I hope the audience like the film a lot. Tamannah Bhatia who has played a major role in the film even didn’t hear the story. She not only gave her dates for the film, but also supported it a lot.  The film has come out very well. The film will be followed by ‘November Maleyil Naanum Avalum’. I am confident that I will win in both the films. I don’t run away from failures and I fight for success’ says Nagashekhar.
