Sandalwood actress Milana Nagaraj has replaced Ashika Ranganath in ‘Love Birds’. Now Milana will be playing the female lead against her real life husband ‘Darling’ Krishna in the film.

‘Love Birds’ is a romantic musical written and directed by P C Shekar of ‘Romeo’ fame. The film was launched in last year October. However, the film was delayed due to various reasons and now the film is finally set to go on the floors from Monday.

Meanwhile, Ashika Ranganath who was selected as the film’s heroine has walked out of the film citing date issues. Immediately, the makers have roped in Milana Nagaraj as the female lead of the film.

Speaking regarding the heroine change, ‘The film got delayed and now Ashika is busy with other films. Due to date issues, she could not be a part of the film. When we were to cast another heroine, immediately Milana’s face crossed my mind. Milana would be apt for the film and when we approached her, she immediately gave her consent to be a part of the film’ says Shekar.

The director says the film revolves around a married couple. ‘The film is not about lovers before marriage, but after marriage. The film tells the story of a modern day couple and what all the challenges they face in the life forms the crux of the film. As Krishna and Milana are couple in real life also, their chemistry onscreen would be much better’ says Shekar.

‘Love Birds’ is being produced by actor ‘Kaddipudi’ Chandru. The film stars Krishna, Milana Nagaraj, Achyuth Kumar, Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila and others in pivotal roles. Arjun Janya is in charge of the music, while Shakti Shekar is the cinematographer.
