Sandalwood actress Malashri who was last seen in ‘Uppu Huli Khara’ is back with a new crime thriller called ‘Night Curfew’ after a five year gap. The film which is nearing completion is likely to be released in August.
‘Night Curfew’ is being directed by Ravindra Vamshi and produced by B S Chandrashekhar. Both had collaborated for a children film called ‘Putani Safari’ a few years back. Now the duo is back with a new crime thriller.
Ravindra says that this film is a contemporary crime thriller. ‘We came to know about the word Night Curfew only during the Corona time. This is a film set in that period. This is all about a medical mafia. The film is set in a single night and single location. All the characters will be seen in a single costume in the film. The film is 95 percent complete and we are planning to release the film in August’ says Ravindra.
Malashri who is often seen in Police roles, is seen as a doctor in this film. She plays the role of a doctor called Durga, who fights against the system. Malashri says though she was hesitant first, some points lured her to be a part of the film.
Apart from Malashri, Ranjini Raghavan, Pramod Shetty, Sadhu Kokila, Rangayana Raghu, Ashwin Hassan, Vardhan, Bala Rajawadi and others play prominent roles in the film.
