Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar died on Sunday morning in Mumbai at the age of 92. The veteran singer will be laid to rest in the evening.

Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after testing positive for Covid 19 in early January. Though Lata Mangeshkar had mild symptoms, she was kept in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for precautionary reasons considering her age. However, Lata didi as she was fondly known showed signs of improvement and as a trial was taken off the ventilator. But her health deteriorated again on Saturday and finally the singer breathed her last because of multiple organ failure.

Lata Mangeshkar’s mortal remains will be kept at Shivaji Park in the Dadar area of Mumbai from 11 Am to 2 PM for a final glimpse to the general public. Many high profile personalities are expected to pay their last respects to the departed soul. Lata Mangeshkar will be laid to rest by evening 6 PM. The Government has announced a two day National Mourning on the demise of the singer.
