After two postponements, Aamir Khan starrer ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ has finally got a release date. The film is finally set to hit the screens on the 14th of April, hereby clashing with Yash starrer PAN Indian film ‘KGF 2’.
‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ has been in the making for the last three years and the makers had announced that the film will be releasing during the Christmas season this year. However, due to the delays in the making, the film was pushed to February 14th 2022. Now, the film has further pushed two months ahead and the film will be releasing on the 14th of April worldwide.
Earlier, Yash starrer ‘KGF 2’, produced by Hombale Films was the solo release on 14th April. Now Aamir is all set to clash with Yash on the same date.
‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is a comedy drama, with Aamir playing the titular role of ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’. The film is based on Hollywood hit ‘Forrest Gump’ which is based on Winston Groom’s 1986 novel of the same name. The film is directed by Advait Chandan, with a screenplay by Eric Roth and Atul Kulkarni.
The film stars Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Naga Chaitanya and others with a guest appearance by Shahrukh Khan. The film marks the debut of Naga Chaitanya to Bollywood. The shooting for the film has been completed three months back itself and the film is in the post-production stage. ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is jointly produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom 18 Studios and Paramount Pictures.
