Yash starrer ‘KGF 2’ producer Vijay Kumar Kiragandur of Hombale Films has confirmed that the shooting for the third chapter of ‘KGF’ will start this year and the new film will hit the screens in 2024.

‘KGF’ started as one film earlier. However, the film was said to have another chapter during the making of the first film. The Chapter 1 was released in 2018 and the work for the second chapter started in 2019. However, due to Covid 19, the film was delayed and was finally released on April 14th this year.

In the end of the Chapter 2, the makers have given a hint that the film will continue further. Soon speculations started about when the third chapter of the film would start. Now producer Vijay Kumar Kiragandur has said that ‘KGF 3’ will start this year and will release next year.

In a recent interview with ‘Dainik Bhaskar’, the producer has said that the film definitely has another installment and there is plan to create a Marvel style franchise of ‘KGF’. ‘Right now Prashanth is currently busy with Prabhas starrer ‘Salaar’. The film is 35 percent complete and the next schedule will start from next week. We hope to complete it by October this year, after which we plan to begin the shoot for ‘KGF 3′ by the end of this year. We hope to release the film in 2024’ said Vijay Kumar Kiragandur.

The producer says there is a plan to create a Marvel kind of Universe for the film. ‘We want to bring different characters from different movies and create something like Doctor Strange. The way it happened in ‘Spider Man: Homecoming’. With this we can reach a wider audience easily’ said Vijay Kumar Kiragandur.

Meanwhile, ‘KGF 2’ has become a monstrous hit at the box-office and the Hindi version of the film has itself garnered 400 crore Rs. at the box-office. The film has grossed more than 1000 crore Rs. worldwide.

‘KGF 2’ stars Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon and others in prominent roles. The film is written and directed by Prashanth Neel.
