Yash’s ‘KGF 2’ which got a humongous opening across the globe on the 14th of April has collected 134.5 crores gross in India alone. The Hindi version of the film has collected 53.95 crores and is expected to cross 100 crores in just two days.
‘KGF 2’, which is a sequel of ‘KGF 1’ was the most anticipated film of the year. The film got released in 5000 plus screens in India and a 5000 thousand plus screens across the globe.
The film was expected to reach the 100 crore club in the first day itself in India alone and the film has smoothly reached the milestone on day one itself. The team has officially announced that the film has collected 134.5 crores in India alone. The major contribution in this figure comes from the Hindi version alone. The Hindi version is said to have collected 54 crores and has beat Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘War’ which was till then the biggest opener in India. The Kannada version of the film is expected to have crossed the 20 plus crore mark.
The Tamil version of the film in spite of a huge competition from Vijay starrer ‘Beast’ has got a good opening in Tamil Nadu and the collections in the state is said to have crossed 10 crores on the first day itself.
‘KGF 2’ stars Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon and others in prominent roles. The film is written and directed by Prashanth Neel.
The film is produced by Vijay Kumar Kiragandur of Hombale Films. Bhuvan Gowda is the cinematographer, while Ravi Basrur is the music composer.
