‘KGF 2’ effect: ‘Jersey’ postponed to avoid clash at box-office

Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Jersey’ has been postponed multiple times earlier and was finally scheduled to release on 14th April. Now, the film has been postponed once again. This time it’s the ‘KGF 2’ effect.

Yash starrer ‘KGF 2’ is all set to release on the 14th of April across the globe. Meanwhile, the film will be releasing in more than 5000 screens alone in India. With the film opening to such a big hype, the makers of ‘Jersey’ has decided to not to collide with the film and has postponed the film to 22nd of April.

‘KGF 2’ which started off as a Kannada film has now become a PAN Indian film and is releasing in many parts of the globe. There is a lot of hype surrounding the film because of the success of the first part. The film as well as Yash has got a huge fan following in the Northern part of India and already the tickets have been sold out for the first four days. Film will be opening at 6AM shows in Mumbai, Pune and other cities.

With such a big opening expected, the makers of ‘Jersey’ have decided not to go ahead with a release on the 14th of April and have postponed the film. Earlier, Aamir Khan starrer ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ which was supposed to release on the same date is also said to be postponed because of the hype ‘KGF 2’ was getting all over India.  ‘KGF 2’ stars Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon and others in prominent roles. The film is written and directed by Prashanth Neel, while Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films is the producer.
