Actress Kavya Shetty is on cloud nine. The actress who was last seen in Yogi’s ‘Lanke’ has signed Sathish Neenasam’s ‘Ashoka Blade’. The actress will be acting in a never seen before role in this film.

Kavya Shetty will be playing the role of a Sub-inspector for the first time in her career and is looking forward for the film.

‘I play a SI in this film. She is not only gutsy but also independent. My role is very strong and I will be a part of the action sequences also. The film is set in two timelines, one in 1970s and the other in the present situation’ says Kavya.

‘Ashoka Blade’s is based on a true incident which occurred in the 1970s in the old Mysore region. The film is all about the fight between traders and workers which got unnoticed in the history books. T K Dayanand has written the story and screenplay for the film.

The film stars Sathish Neenasam, Kavya Shetty, B Suresh and others in prominent roles. Lavith is the cameraman, while Poonachandra Tejaswi is the cinematographer.

‘Ashoka Blade’ is being jointly produced by Vardhan Hari and Sathish Neenasam under Vridhi Creations and Sathish Picture House. The film is being directed by Vinod Dhondalay. The film will be shot in Bangalore, Mumbai, Uttarakhand and other places.
