Karthi’s look from his 25th film ‘Japan’ unveiled; film for Deepavali

Kollywood actor Karthi who is riding high on the success of Manirathnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ is all set to woo the audience with his new film ‘Japan’ directed by Raju Murugan.

Karthi celebrated his birthday on Thursday and to mark the occasion the makers have released the first look teaser of the film. The actor is seen in a different avatar sporting curly hair as he holds two golden machine guns in both of his hands.

Karthi’s name is Japan in the film and the clip showcases the different faces of the character. While some refer to him as a comedy piece, some call him the villain.

‘Japan’ is a pan Indian film made in Tamil and will be dubbed and simultaneously released in Kannada, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. The film has already got a release date and ‘Japan’ is slated for 2023 Deepavali release.

‘Japan’ is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures and stars Karthi along with Anu Emmanuel as the leading lady. Tollywood actor Sunil will be making his debut in Kollywood with this film. The music is composed by G V Prakash Kumar, while Ravi Varman is the cinematographer.
