‘James’ to re-release with Puneeth Rajkumar’s voice

Puneeth Rajkumar starrer ‘James’ is all set to re-release once again on the 22nd of April. One of the highlights is, this time the film will be released in Puneeth Rajkumar’s voice.

‘James’ was released on Puneeth’s birthday (17th of March) worldwide. Shivarajkumar had dubbed for Puneeth in the in the film, as Puneeth was no more even before the completion of the film. The team tried to retain the original voice of Puneeth from sets, but failed to do so as there was a lot of noise. With no other go, Shivarajkumar stepped into dub for Puneeth in the film.

Meanwhile, Sound Engineers from Hyderabad had successfully managed to recreate the voice of Puneeth in the film. Using Shivarajkumar’s voice as a reference, the engineers are successful in recreating Puneeth’s voice. The new version will be released around 100 theaters across Karnataka.

Director Chethan says he is very much thrilled to see the new version of the film. ‘We had lost all hopes that we would hear Puneeth’s voice in the film. But as soon as we saw the new version we literally got goosebumps. Shivarajkumar was also very much happy with this’ says Chethan.

‘James’ is an action thriller written and directed by Chethan Kumar and produced by Kishore Pathikonda. The film revolves around an Ex-army officer called Santhosh and his fight for justice.

The film stars Puneeth Rajkumar, Priya Anand, Sharath Kumar, Avinash and others in prominent roles, with Shivarajkumar and Raghavendra Rajkumar in guest roles.
