SonyLIV had acquired the digital rights of Puneeth Rajkumar starrer ‘James’ much before the film’s theatrical release. This is their first venture in the Kannada market. Now the film is all set to be streamed online from the 14th of April.
‘James’ was released on Puneeth’s birthday on the 17th of March. It has the distinction of becoming the first Kannada film to join the 100 crore club in just four days of release. The film is also the first day highest grosser by collecting approximately 22 crores on the first day of its release in Karnataka alone.
‘James’ is an action thriller written and directed by Chethan Kumar and produced by Kishore Pathikonda. The film revolves around an Ex-army officer called Santhosh and his fight for justice.
The film stars Puneeth Rajkumar, Priya Anand, Sharath Kumar, Avinash and others in prominent roles, with Shivarajkumar and Raghavendra Rajkumar in guest roles.
The film was released in more than 500 screens and 4000 shows across Karnataka on the first day. The film was also released in North America, Canada, Australia and other places simultaneously.
