It’s official: Dhruva Sarja starrer ‘Martin’ release postponed

It was Kannadascreens.com which first predicted that Dhruva Sarja starrer ‘Martin’, which was supposed to release on the 30th of September might get postponed. The news has indeed come true and the film’s release has been postponed indefinitely.

Producer Uday Mehta speaking to a Kannada daily has announced that the film has been delayed due to various reasons and can’t be released on the above said date. The producer has said that the release has been postponed and the new release date will be announced in the coming days.

 ‘Martin’ was launched in October last year and the team completed major portions of the film in Bangalore, Kashmir and Hyderabad. The shooting for the film should have been completed by now, but is said to have been delayed due to heavy rains and the death of Dhruva’s grandmother. If everything had gone right, then the team would have completed the shooting by now and would have been busy with the post-production work. With the shooting incomplete, the team has decided to postpone the release. With the film being postponed, now only Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara’ and Jaggesh’s ‘Thotapuri’ will be releasing on the same date.

Meanwhile, the team will now be starting shooting from the 05th of August. The shooting will be held in Bangalore, Mangalore, Mumbai and other places. The producer opines that the release date of the film will only be announced, once the team completes the shooting of the film.

‘Martin’ is a PAN-Indian film which is all set to release in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi simultaneously. The film is being produced by Uday Mehta under Vasavi Movies banner. The film is written and directed by A P Arjun.

The film stars Dhruva Sarja, Vaibhavi Shandilya, Sukrutha Wagle, Chikkanna and others in prominent roles. The film is being produced by Uday Mehta. Satya Hegade is the cinematographer, while Mani Sharma is the music director.
