The speculations have finally come true. Now Chiranjeevi’s ‘Acharya’ which was supposed to release on the 04th of February has been postponed indefinitely due to the pandemic. The new release date of the film is yet to be announced.
Covid cases are rising day by day across the country and many big films like ‘RRR’ and ‘Radhe Shyam’ have been pushed further due to the fear of a Corona third wave. Moreover, the Andhra Pradesh Government has restricted 50 percent occupancy in theaters and has also invoked night curfew. With so many obstacles, the film has been pushed to a further date.
The team took to social media on Saturday and announced the postponement of the film. ‘Due to the ongoing widespread of Covid, the release of ‘Acharya’ is postponed’ read the tweet.
Recently, a song called ‘Saana Kashtam’ featuring Chiranjeevi and Regina Cassandra was released in YouTube and the song got wide acclaim with more than 14 plus million views.
‘Acharya’ stars Chiranjeevi, Ramcharan Teja, Kajal Agarwal, Sonu Sood, Pooja Hegde and others in prominent roles and is scripted and directed by well known director Koratala Shiva. The film is being produced by Chiranjeevi’s Konidela Production Company. Manisharma is in charge of music, while Tirru is the cinematographer.
